Through May and June we will discuss on the Wake Up Your Life Blog things that you can get rid of in your life. If you give up on them, it will make your life easier and happier. We hold on to so many things that cause us a great deal of pain, stress and suffering. Instead of letting them go, instead of allowing ourselves to be stress free and happy we cling to them. Let’s work to give up on all those things that no longer serve us, and we will embrace change. Be sure to read the entire series. There will be 15 in total.

14. Give up attachment

This is a concept that, for most of us is so hard to grasp.  . The moment you detach yourself from all things, note that doesn’t mean you give up your love for them since love and attachment have nothing to do with one another. Let’s distinguish –attachment comes from a place of fear, while love is kind. Where there is love there can’t be fear.  Attachment and love cannot coexist. You will find yourself becoming more peaceful, tolerant, kind, and serene. Those are all good things. You will get to a place where you will be able to understand without even trying. It will become natural.
