Friday January 4 is World Hypnotism Day

 

January 4th, 2013, is World Hypnotism Day.

What is that?

The purpose of this day is to remove the myths and misconceptions about hypnosis and promote the truth and benefits of it. Unlike what you might have seen in movies or television, hypnosis will not make you do anything you do not want to do and it can be highly beneficial to enhance your life in many areas.

So ultimately it is tempting you rather than helping you avoid it. Hypnosis has the ability to retrain your subconscious to focus on more desirable food that can take the place of the ice cream and in addition allows you to have a very vivid imaginary experience of being thin, feeling healthy, stopping smoking, and happily reaching the desired goals. Chances are you have seen at least some Olympic coverage. It is amazing to see the determination, rising to new heights, and in some occasions a few lows as people from all over the world compete for the gold medal. 

It is wise to examine what is the hold that you are going for in your own life? How might you need to adjust things to reach your goals? What steps do you need to take? More training, a coach, discipline, planning, organizing?

It is interesting to note that we have to do many of the things in our own life to accomplish things, build relations, become better people and more.

15. Give up living your life to the expectations of others

Way too many people are living a life that is not theirs to live. They live their lives according to what others think is best for them. They live their lives according to what their parent, friends, teachers, enemies and even the government and media think is best for them. They ignore their inner voice.  They are consumed with pleasing everybody, with living up to other people’s expectations, that they lose control over their own lives. They forget what makes them happy, what they want, what they need. One day they forget about themselves.  You have one life. You must live it, own it. Be sure to not let other people’s opinions distract you from your path.

14. Give up attachment

This is a concept that, for most of us is so hard to grasp.  . The moment you detach yourself from all things, note that doesn’t mean you give up your love for them since love and attachment have nothing to do with one another. Let’s distinguish –attachment comes from a place of fear, while love is kind. Where there is love there can’t be fear.  Attachment and love cannot coexist. You will find yourself becoming more peaceful, tolerant, kind, and serene. Those are all good things. You will get to a place where you will be able to understand without even trying. It will become natural.

13. Give up the past

It’s hard. Especially when the past looks so much better than the present and the future looks scary. You have to take into consideration that the present moment is all you have and all you will ever have. The past you are now longing for – the past that you are now thinking and/or dreaming about – was ignored by you when it was present. Stop deluding yourself. Be present in everything you do and enjoy life. After all life is a journey not a destination. Have a clear vision for the future. Be sure to prepare yourself, but always be present in the now.

11. Give up labeling

 Stop labeling those things, people or events that you don’t understand as being odd or different and try opening your mind, little by little. Minds work best when open.

10. Give up on your fears

Fear is just an illusion, it doesn’t exist – you created it. It’s all in your mind. Correct the inside and the outside will fall into place. Sven Goran Eriksson said—The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure.
